History of Gizzy
This is a little bit of what we learnt on our heritage trail. We started going on these heritage trails to learn more about Gisborne's history. On this heritage trail we learnt about the landing of Captain Cook. How a European name J.W harris brought 2 acres of land and in return the maoris got 1 musket, 50 pounds of gunpowder, 1 blanket and 5 pounds of tobacco.
